An international software development company seeks a sophisticated, bright, individual who can serve as a Business Development Manager for one of its three verticals – corporate, academic or edutainment. We offer a SaaS (software as a service) educational distribution platform. Working closely with the Business Development head within each vertical, you will be responsible for executing business development initiatives, including soliciting and delivering compelling demonstrations over the Internet of our software application, as well as closing subscription license agreements. You will also work closely with our implementation team to ensure a seamless handoff and outstanding customer service - a mainstay of our Company. You must work well in a decentralized sales and marketing function over several countries and even more time zones. The ability to handle many initiatives at various times by prioritizing is part of your daily organization responsibilities. Extensive utilization of salesforce.com each day, from managing and adding to our significant contact listing to ensuring marketing campaigns are executed and reported on flawlessly is a requirement. A high degree of ongoing support to the client in a customer service capacity is paramount to success. This post includes documenting client specifications during closing of subscription license agreements and continued communication with the customer to ensure seamless delivery of the product to client. Initial set-up of product may be required for individual customers on occasion. A technical capacity is helpful to work through problem analysis with customers, as is a keen eye for detail. Good written and verbal communication skills are important in order to communicate effectively with internal and external staff.
